LCWA Multicultural House

The School of Languages, Cultures, and World Affairs invites you to live in our living and learning community, the LCWA Multicultural House, located in our beautiful historic house on 8 Bull Street. The aim of this living and learning community is to foster cultural immersion and exploration, offering the chance for our students to live in a house with other residents from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

Our ideal residents can be:

  • LCWA students with a concentration in language or cultural studies
  • Students with a true interest in intercultural understanding
  • International students here for a year or longer

The house is managed by the Office of Residence Life and Housing; regular fees for historic houses apply. The house is furnished and has internet access and cable television. There are four double rooms and one single room. The house has two bathrooms, a living room and laundry facilities on the ground floor, a full kitchen, a front porch, and a large courtyard in the back with picnic tables.

There is a Resident Assistant in the Franco-Hispano House who is responsible for overall resident safety. The house has additional faculty oversight and support from the Hispanic Studies department and the French, Francophone and Italian Studies department. Residents can program events separately or with the Franco-Hispano house,  offering inter-house exchanges and the chance to meet new friends just down the street. These houses are located only one block from the center of campus! For information, see Campus Housing, Historic Houses.
