INVITATION TO AN EVENT
OF POETRY AND ESOTERIC THEATRE

The Waters of Hermes is a festival of poetry and esoteric studies that takes place at the College of Charleston every beginning of Spring in South Carolina. During the previous editions the following poets participated Giuseppe Conte, Tomaso Kemeny, Mario Baudino, Roberto Mussapi, Roberto Carifi, Robert Bly, Gabriella Galzio, Angelo Tonelli, Milo De Angelis with musicians Glen Velez and Eugene Friesen; and these scholars contributed with critical essays Anna Meda, William Willeford, Donald Verene, Lee Irwin, Christopher Celenza e Joscelyn Godwin.

This festival also has a traveling edition that we propose to whomever might be interested, - associations, institutions, clubs, cultural centres, academies, - in the following format: poetry reading, ritual performance, musical performance synchronized with projected images and with a critical introduction. In this context, we want to offer to the audience a propitiatory and symbolical event that evokes a cathartic and spiritual dimension in poetry. If you are interested in organizing such an event in your location, you are invited to contat the festival directors:
