Intelligence and Security Studies: Citadel Cross Registration

The College of Charleston through a cross-registration agreement with The Citadel is making available to its students select courses in "Intelligence and Security Studies."

  • The courses count for College of Charleston credit and are available at College of Charleston tuition cost. All scholarship funding is applicable.
  •  All courses are on-line.
  •  There are only a few spaces open for College of Charleston students.

Citadel Courses: Spring 18: “Intelligence and Security Studies” (INTL)

INTL 201: Introduction to Intelligence Studies (Instructor: John Schrimpf).

INTL 210 W1: Homeland Security (Instructor: Brian Norris): An introduction to various aspects of terrorism and homeland security affecting the United States today. Course content will consider the problems and challenges stemming from 9/11, as well as examine the historical context of both terrorism and national security.     

INTL 310: Intelligence Collection Systems and Programs (Instructor: Karl Jensen): This is a seminar course addressing intelligence collection systems and pro­grams. Particular emphasis will be placed on intelligence collection platforms, their limitations and capabilities, and how they are used in support of national intelligence requirements. The course will also focus on how these systems and programs are planned and executed. The seminar format will emphasize student participation in the form of presentations, papers, and related discussion.

1). Download the cross-registration form from the CofC Registrar’s website: http://registrar.cofc.edu/pdf/critlang-ce.pdf

2). Make sure you are eligible to take the course, as described at the heading of the form.

3). Fill out the application and submit to the College of Charleston Registrar’s Office.

4). Deadline for application for Spring 2018: January 5, 2018.
