Master of Education in Languages

There are two distinct emphases: Spanish and ESOL. (The ESOL emphasis is fully online starting Fall 2018).

Designed to meet the demands of working professionals with classes offered in the late afternoon, evening, summer, and hybrid/online, students in the program have the option of creating a curriculum that best suits their career aspirations by concentrating their studies in Spanish or English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).

Class sizes are kept small to maximize the educational experience and facilitate access to talented faculty members with a distinguished record of scholarly research. Additionally, these professors are highly involved in the teaching of languages at the state and national levels. Accordingly, the College of Charleston is recognized as among the best institutions in the Southeast for language education.
