For the capstone course, each student will work with a professor of his or her choice with the objective of producing a research paper of about 15 pages long on a topic in comparative literature. Students may -- and are indeed encouraged -- to take an essay previously written for another course and develop it into a comparative literature paper. The goal here is to help students bring together the knowledge and skills they have acquired in their studies to create a work of high quality in the field of comparative literature. Upon finishing the paper, the student will present it to the Director of the Comparative Literature as part of the formal completion of the requirements of the minor.
