The College of Charleston’s German Club is joining millions around the world in its celebration of Oktoberfest, a traditional German festival . The College of Charleston Oktoberfest will feature a feast prepared by a German chef, a German oompah band and a beer garden. It will take place on Friday, September 26 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Villages at Wild Dunes. The cost is $25 at the door or $16 in advance for students with a College of Charleston ID. The Oktoberfest, (an important part of Bavarian culture), is a sixteen-day festival held each year in Munich, Bavaria, Germany during late September. One of the most famous events in the city and the world's largest fair, some six million people attend every year through October.
