The book is a non-academic overview of languages and language for general readers. Consists of 60 short chapters on questions we all have about languages. About 50 expert contributors from across the US were involved in the book and the radio series that preceded it. The book was released at the end of 2006 by Equinox Publishing in London and is now available at Amazon. In January, the radio seried was given the national "Linguistics, Language and the Public" award by the Linguistic Society of America.
