Philosophy
The design principles that Sam employs are simple: the site has to be quick to load, interesting to look at, easy to navigate, coherent, and easy to update. As a result, Sam spends much of him design time in building very robust stylesheets that control the look and feel of a web site so that changes to the look of a site can be made immediately.
Simply stated, design should simplify and facilitate information gathering, not make it more tedious.
